Invited Report on the 2023 Academic Committee Meeting of Guangxi Laboratory on the Study of Coral Reefs in the South China Sea Held
On the morning of May 15, the invited report of the 2023 Annual Academic Committee Meeting of Guangxi Laboratory on the Study of Coral Reefs in the South China Sea was held in the 215 conference room of the School of Marine Sciences. A total of five oral academic reports were invited, presided over by researcher Xu Xiangrong of the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The reporter and report title are:
(1) Researcher Chen Lianguo (Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, doctoral supervisor, candidate for the national "overseas high-level talent introduction plan"): ecotoxicology research of typical new pollutants;
(2) Hou Rui, Associate Researcher (South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences): Research on the metabolic transformation of new flame retardants and enrichment mechanism of marine food web;
(3) Liu Shan, Associate Researcher (South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences): Distribution pattern, migration and transformation law of new pollutants in typical marine ecosystems;
(4) Assistant Researcher Lin Lang (South China Sea Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences): The transmission mechanism of nano plastics in the marine food web;
(5) Dr. Liang Zhiwei (postdoctoral fellow at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University): Research on Environmental Microbiome and Elemental Cycle Processes.
Experts and scholars presented vivid scientific research examples, detailed data, and vivid charts in the invited report, sharing their research ideas, cutting-edge developments in related disciplines, and academic activity stories. During the questioning session, teachers and students actively asked questions about domestic and international research overview, current disciplinary prospects and needs, etc., demonstrating the confident and positive spirit of the college's teachers and students, as well as a good academic atmosphere for the development of professional frontiers.
